WEST COAST INVITATIONAL

The 21st annual West Coast Invitational (WCI) will take place on October 14, 2023 and is an FMBC sanctioned event used to qualify for FMBC State semi-finals. Durant High School is located in Plant City, Florida only 45 minutes from Busch Gardens and one hour from Orlando.

In addition to being one of FMBC’s longest running competitions, WCI is also well-managed, well- organized, finals only event that prides itself on offering a positive performing experience for students and directors. For those directors seeking the opportunity to get more feedback from our judges, a full critique will be held at the conclusion of the event. To accommodate schools that would prefer not to compete, we do offer a non-competitive Rating Only division, whereby a rating is the only award given.

Our concession stand is always well stocked and lunch and dinner packages will be offered to all participants at very reasonable prices. We thank you for considering the West Coast Marching Band Invitational when scheduling for this year.
